Cookies
Accepting cookies is not a prerequisite for visiting our website. However, we would like to point out that our website and services have only limited functionality if you do not allow us to set cookies.

3.1 What are cookies?
Cookies are small files that are stored on your data storage device and store certain settings and data for exchange with our system via your browser. In principle, a distinction is made between 2 different types of cookies: so-called session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser, and temporary/permanent cookies, which are stored on your data storage device for a longer period of time or indefinitely. This storage helps us tailor our services to you and makes them easier to use, for example by saving certain entries so that you do not have to repeat them constantly.

3.2 Are there also cookies from third-party providers (so-called third-party cookies)?
jomco uses some third-party providers that help make the online offering and the websites more interesting for you. Therefore, when you visit the websites, cookies from partner companies are also stored on your hard drive. These are temporary/permanent cookies that are automatically deleted after the specified time. The cookies of our partner companies also contain only pseudonymous, and in most cases even anonymous, data.

3.3 How can you prevent cookies from being stored?
In your browser, you can set that cookies are only accepted if you agree to this, thereby preventing cookies from being set again in the future. If you only want to refuse jomco cookies but not the cookies of our service providers and partners, you can select the setting “Block third-party cookies” in your browser. As a rule, your web browser’s menu bar will show you via the help function how to reject new cookies and disable cookies you have already received.

4. Web analytics
To continuously improve and optimise our services, we use so-called tracking technologies. For this purpose, we use the services of Google Analytics.

4.1 Google Analytics
This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (www.google.at). Google (Universal) Analytics uses methods that enable an analysis of your use of the website, such as so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer. The information generated about your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. By activating IP anonymisation on our services, your IP address is shortened before transmission within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The anonymised IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. You can prevent the collection by Google of the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. As an alternative to the browser plug-in, you can click this link to prevent Google Analytics from collecting data on this website in the future. An opt-out cookie will be stored on your device. If you delete your cookies, you must click the link again.

5. Secure data transmission
Your personal data is transmitted securely to us using encryption. This naturally also applies to your order and to account login. We use the TLS (Transport Layer Security) and/or SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encoding system. Furthermore, we protect our websites and other systems through technical and organisational measures against loss, destruction, access, alteration or dissemination of your data by unauthorised persons.

6. Links to other websites and social media
Links to other websites are provided for informational purposes only. Other websites are beyond our control and are not covered by this policy. When accessing other websites via the links provided, the operators of those websites may collect data about you, which may then be used by the operators in accordance with their respective privacy policies in a manner that may differ from our policy. On some pages of our website, content, applications or plug-ins from third-party providers may be made available that track and/or optimise your use of content, applications or plug-ins. For example, if you share an article from our website with others via a social media share button (e.g. Facebook, Twitter or Google Plus), this process is recorded by the social network that created the button.

7. Online presences on social media
We maintain online presences within social networks and platforms in order to communicate with customers, interested parties and users active there and to inform them about our services. When accessing the respective networks and platforms, the terms and conditions and data processing policies of the respective operators apply. We process users’ data insofar as they communicate with us within the social networks and platforms, e.g. by posting on our online presences or sending us messages.

8. Google Fonts and Google Maps
We integrate the fonts (“Google Fonts”) and the maps of the “Google Maps” service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. However, we would like to point out that we may retain some data after you have closed your account with us, e.g. if this is necessary to fulfil our legal obligations, such as retaining data for tax and accounting purposes.

10. Information on legal remedies
You generally have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. Please contact us for this purpose. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have otherwise been infringed in any way, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.
